Getting back on track

I’m not going to stop! I’m not going to give up on my goal to raise £100,000 in 2018! Shit happened. I get that. I’m now looking beyond it.

I have a lot happening this year, and it’s time to re-focus. It’s time to use what happened in the walk as motivation, and get on with my plans.

A lot is now happening. Now I’m back, I have more time to plan. I have more time to arrange meetings, send emails, and generally train for the challenges ahead.

I start training tomorrow for my 21 marathons in 21 days in a wheelchair challenge for Crohn’s and Colitis UK fundraiser, I’m off for a TV interview later today, and some very exciting locations are becoming available for my fundraisers.

This is me. Yes, I wish I finished the walk, but that’s life. Not everything goes to plan, and I’ve never really been someone to stop. Now walking 2018km in 2018 rather than the 650 mile walk (you can donate to the new challenge here), the goal is still alive. There’s still opportunities to make a difference.

So many of you reached out when I felt low after the walk, and I want to thank you for that. Messages really help me to remember why I started this year of fundraising in the first place, and I won’t disappoint.

I may have cried when I came back and have wanted to cry a few more times since, but mentally, I’m back. I’m back on track to raise £100,000. I WILL RAISE £100,000.
