Don’t fight for motivation

When you’re struggling, getting yourself outside seems to be the easy solution, but for me, I’ve learned not to fight the urge to find motivation.

This past week, I’ve taken time out. I’ve watched Netflix, been out for food and taken life lightly. I’ve needed it.

Seeing a family member’s life change, we have control over how we react. I’ve cried, I’ve made excuses and I’ve got on with things.

Getting on with things doesn’t always work though. It works some days, others not. I’ve been learning that if one day, you’re not up for the day, maybe you need to take it off. Maybe by taking the day off, you’ll have two motivational days?

But…

If we push too much, we won’t have the energy to find out. That’s why I’m not fighting for motivation…
